Parking the entire length of Main Street will be prohibited from 1 a.m. on July 4 until after the parade is over later that afternoon. Vehicles parked on Main Street during this time will be ticketed and towed at owner expense.
People coming to Mandan for the parade should use not only the Main Street exit 155, but also the Mandan Avenue exit 153 and the Sunset Drive exit 152. The Main Street entrance to Mandan is usually heavily congested and can be slow for traffic coming into the city during this event.
Traffic in bound from I-94 will begin to be detoured from Main Street at 8 a.m. If you need to go south of Mandan for any reason, please arrange your travel plans to do so prior to 8 a.m. to avoid delays or inconvenience.
The Street Festival, Classic Car Parade & Ribbon Cutting for Old Red/Old Ten Byway Events will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Main Street , prior to the parade.
The parade will leave Dacotah Centennial Park at 9:30 a.m.
After the parade begins, traffic traveling north and/or south of Mandan will be extremely limited with the possibility of long delays until the parade is over.
